Lawyers Arrange Surprise Visit From Santa
CHILDREN being treated for head injuries at a local hospital were pleasantly surprised when Father Christmas popped in to spread some seasonal cheer. The famous jolly gent made a visit to The Barbara Russell Children’s Unit at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol on December 6th, handing out presents to the excited young patients and their siblings.
The Unit provides treatment and rehabilitation for young people with head and brain injuries and promotes rehabilitation through activities and support.
Andrew Bowman, a patients' rights solicitor at Irwin Mitchell, who mysteriously appeared at the hospital just after Father Christmas had left, said: “The children in The Barbara Russell Unit are very brave and have often been through a lot.
“They deserve a special treat to brighten up their day and it’s great to see their beaming smiles now that Father Christmas has worked his magic."
Irwin Mitchell is proud of their association with the unit, having previously sponsored the FUN Club, which offers a programme of activities and days out for the families of young people affected by head or brain injury.
This Christmas, Irwin Mitchell wanted to do something for the whole unit, so they made the most of their close links with the Claus family and persuaded Father Christmas to clear a space in his diary.
