South Wales Motorcycle Accidents
Two motorcyclists have been killed in separate accidents on the same stretch of road in South Wales within hours of each other.
Jack Isaac Meachin, 18, from Bristol, died in a collision with a car at 1210 on Monday near Chepstow.
An as yet unnamed 26-year-old man from Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf, was killed just four hours later in a separate accident.
It is understood that Mr Meachin's Suzuki bike was in collision with a Volvo car towing a caravan. The 26-year-old, riding a silver/grey Yamaha motorcycle, was in collision with a black Peugeot 206 car.
A police spokesman said the incidents occurred 5.9 miles apart on the B4235.
Paying tribute, Mr Meachin's family described him as "a very gentle, funny and kind young man".
"He enjoyed life to the full and could bring a smile to anyone's face," said the statement.
"He was happy in his job and loved spending his spare time on his motocross bike or with his many friends."

Jo Darlington at law firm Irwin Mitchell said: "These tragic accidents show the vulnerability of motorcyclists on the road – a collision between at motorcyclist and a car (irrespective of fault for the accident) tends to lead to a poor outcome for motorcyclists by virtue of the fact they are relatively unprotected at impact. All road users need to be alert and 'think bike' to avoid such sad events."
