Law Society Guidance to Solicitors
Use Of Interpreters In Criminal Law Cases
The Law Society has published a useful practice note to assist solicitors and practitioners on the use of interpreters whilst advising at the police station and in Court.
Solicitors who practise in criminal law, and their representatives, who are taking instructions, advising and representing suspects and defendants at police stations, and in Magistrates' and Crown Courts should familiarise themselves with this helpful guidance.
If you or your firm have any questions regarding the issues raised in the article or are an individual who is affected by a criminal law issue involving the use of interpreters, please contact Robyn Walters or Sarah Wallace on 0370 1500 100 or 020 7421 3883.
