Former APIL President Joins Irwin Mitchell

Irwin Mitchell has further strengthened its highly respected personal injury service in London with the appointment of former APIL President Amanda Stevens to head up its team working with victims of serious brain and spinal injury.

Amanda, who was previously Head of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence at Charles Russell and was described in a recent High Court judgement as being ‘particularly impressive and experienced’, will take up her role at Irwin Mitchell’s Holborn offices from July 5.

The high-profile appointment is the latest addition to the firm’s growing presence in the capital and takes the number of Partners in its Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams in London to 11, as well as more than 100 lawyers.

Amanda, who will be heading a team of lawyers working with victims of serious injury and clinical negligence, said she is delighted to be joining a firm with such a strong commitment to the rehabilitation of its clients, with Irwin Mitchell having won the acclaimed Claimant Solicitor of the Year award (Rehabilitation Awards) in both 2008 and 2009.

Amanda, a former NHS manager who qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and was APIL president in 2008/9, added: “I’m delighted to be joining Irwin Mitchell and very much looking forward to working with clients in assisting them as they look to rebuild their lives.
