Hearing To Be Held This Week
An inquest is due to take place on Wednesday 8th December to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 51 year old Black Country woman.
Patricia Ashton, from Holly Hall, Dudley, in the West Midlands, died on 7th August 2007 after contracting Legionnaire’s Disease.
HM Coroner for the Black Country, Robin Balmain, will hold the inquest before a jury. The hearing into Mrs Ashton’s death is listed for one day, starting at 10.00am at the Council House in Smethwick.
Ronan Hynes, a solicitor with law firm, Irwin Mitchell, who is representing Mrs Ashton’s family, said: “Patricia’s family have understandably been devastated by her death; in particular her two sons and daughter in law who have waited for more than three years for a full inquest investigation. The family very much hope that the inquest will shed some light on the circumstances which led to Patricia’s tragic death.”
