Leicester Charity Festive Fun Thanks To Law Firms Support
Twenty five young people and adults involved with Leicester disability charity Mosaic started the Christmas week with a fun filled festive party thanks to support from Irwin Mitchell.
Leicestershire Cares and law firm Irwin Mitchell, which has a consulting office in Leicester, created a special festive party for clients and support workers based at local charity Mosaic: Shaping Disability Services.
Guests were treated to live entertainment from a Karaoke DJ, they joined in to perform tracks by Rhianna and Abba, followed by a festive buffet lunch and chocolate fountain.
Sarah Rowland, part of the team from Irwin Mitchell at the party in Leicester, said: “We are delighted to be working with Leicestershire Cares to support projects such as this for local charities. Everybody has really enjoyed it and it been a wonderful way to start the week leading up to Christmas.”
A programme of 11 festive volunteering events has been organised by local charity Leicestershire Cares whose aim is to bring business volunteers together with community groups who need volunteer help.
This is the 3rd year that Leicestershire Cares has organised a Festive Challenge programme at this time of year, with the idea of providing some extra Christmas fun and sociability in the community.
Rosie Colls, Community Development Co-ordinator for Leicestershire Cares, said: “Once again our member companies have risen magnificently to the challenge of providing something a little bit special for local service users this Christmas.
“A team of enthusiastic volunteers, such as the Irwin Mitchell team, really help charity staff to provide that extra bit of sparkle. It is heart warming to find that so many volunteers are prepared to put such a lot of effort into giving others a good time too.”
