Irwin Mitchell's Manchester office has once again been highly ranked in the league tables in personal injury and clinical negligence (for claimant) and in family law by the independent legal research body, Chambers.
The firm's personal injury department led by Manchester's managing partner, Grahame Codd, climbed the rankings as it expands in the North West.
Grahame, heads up the team and is also the leading figure for Irwin Mitchell's national Neurotrauma team. One interviewee said of Grahame: "He would be my first choice if I needed advice." Personal Injury partner Jonathan Betts is referenced for his 'excellent judgement and dedication to gaining the best for his clients'.
Lindsay Wise, who heads up the clinical negligence team, is credited with 'running an efficient ship, motivating her team and imparting her considerable wisdom to others for the benefit of clients'.
Lesley Herbertson, an expert in cerebral palsy and catastrophic injury, is highlighted as a key player.
High praise was awarded to the Elizabeth Tait, head of the family law department, renowned for its speed and efficiency when dealing with divorce and private children matters. Elizabeth topped the individual rankings in her field once again and is referenced for her collaborative approach that enables her to reach settlements quickly. She is recognised as 'compassionate, sensitive and concerned with individuals during the whole process.'
The firm's debt recovery team retained its position in the rankings at number two and is hailed as a 'growing presence' in the region with impressive new client wins. It is highlighted as a developing practice that it is a 'notable player'.
