Man Arrested Under Dangerous Dogs Act
A woman has been attacked by a dog in Bradford after she tried to break up a dog fight.
She received injuries to her arm and hand and has been left with tendon damage following the incident in the Bowling and Barkerend area of the city.
A man has since been arrested and a dog seized under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
West Yorkshire Police said a larger dog - believed to be an American Pitbull type dog - attacked another dog, which later died from its injuries.
Pc Gareth Bentley said: "I want to reassure members of the public that we will take all reports of dangerous dogs seriously and will do everything in our power to take them away and to prosecute the owners."

Katrina Elsey from law firm Irwin Mitchell said: “Under The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 certain breeds of dog are required to be muzzled when in public places, and also microchipped. If you are attacked by a breed of dog covered by The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 which is not muzzled, you may be entitled to bring a personal injury claim as a result of the injuries inflicted by a Dangerous Dog.”
