Located at 82 King Street, the city centre office will be managed by IM Partner, Andrew Tucker along with Geraldine Coombs and Stephanie Forman. Heavyweights in PI and clinical negligence, Coombs specialises in asbestos related disease and serious injury cases, and Forman in claims against the MoD, inquests, birth injury, neonatal death, oncology and cancer.
Coombs has played a significant role in a number of landmark asbestos disease cases including Lubbe/Afrika and others V Cape plc, which established the right of South African miners and residents to sue for compensation in this country - this case was settled for £10.5m in March 2003.
Commenting on the opening of its Manchester office, Andrew Tucker, Manchester regional managing partner at IM said; "We are very much looking forward to growing the business in Manchester. We know there is a big demand in the region already for our claimant PI and clinical negligence services. Manchester is a buoyant and thriving city, establishing a presence here is a strategic progression in growing our regional framework."
