Irwin Mitchell’s specialist personal injury team has helped a woman obtain compensation after she suffered an accident at work.
At the time of her accident Sarah, our client, worked in an office. She was leaving the office when the heel of her shoe caught in a gap where two pieces of carpet joined and she fell, seriously injuring herself.
As a result of her fall Sarah sustained a closed head injury, a broken left wrist and a broken collar bone. She required physiotherapy on her wrist and shoulder.
Following the accident Sarah required help with many aspects of daily living and couldn’t drive for months.
Primary liability was admitted on behalf of her employers and our client received £11,000. This covered damages for her injuries and contributed to the care and assistance she had needed with household tasks following the accident.
If you've been injured as a result of a slip or trip at work, our personal injury solicitors could help you claim compensation. Visit our Workplace Slip & Trip Claims page for more information.
