I am a Solicitor within the Asbestos-Related Disease team in Southampton. My role involves representing clients who have been diagnosed with asbestos-related diseases. I help recover compensation for my clients who have been negligently exposed to asbestos by their previous employers.
What inspired you to get into law?
I have always found the law fascinating, particularly in relation to how it shapes society and constantly evolves. Working within the legal profession provides a challenging, interesting, and rewarding career which I thoroughly enjoy. Specialising in the area of asbestos-related disease enables me to make a real difference to my clients and their families, in a number of ways.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Assisting clients and their families to recover compensation following a diagnosis of an asbestos-related disease is a great privilege. I find it extremely rewarding working with such families in order to help them as much as possible during such a difficult time in their lives.
What do you do away from the office?
I love to keep fit and enjoy a number of sports including running, cycling and playing netball. I am a member of the Irwin Mitchell choir and enjoy performing with my colleagues at various events. I also love to travel and experience different cultures and customs.
