Head of Cambridge Public Law & Human Rights team
I am a mental health practitioner by background and I also undertake health and welfare court of protection matters concerning deprivation of liberty and residence and contact disputes. I also have a keen interest in serious medical treatment cases.
What inspired you to get into law?
I have always cared about social justice and promoting the rights of the individual. I have a desire to help those in particular who have been marginalised in society.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I think ensuring that my clients have a platform to be heard and to have their cases progressed with the assistance of legal support is the most rewarding aspect of my role.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell has a great reputation for flexibility, which is important to me given I have a young family. Irwin Mitchell also has an excellent reputation as a leading UK law firm.
What do you do away from the office?
I enjoy spending time with my children and walking my dog. I have a keen interest in travelling and discovering new countries when I have the time.
