Biography
I’m a Solicitor in the International Serious Injury department, having qualified in March 2018. I specialise in acting for individuals in disputes arising from catastrophic or fatal accidents in which there is a cross-jurisdictional element.
Usually this involves accidents where an English national is injured whilst abroad, however I also act for foreign individuals who have been injured whilst in England. I also occasionally act for foreign insurers, defending claims arising from accidents in this jurisdiction.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I’ve always enjoyed problem solving and I liked the idea of putting this to practical use. Specifically in relation to international litigation, I like the fact that, depending on the jurisdiction which the accident happened in, each case is different and contains its own unique challenges.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
It is an amazing feeling when you finally conclude a case that you have put so much time and energy into and you can see first hand the difference that your work has made to someone’s life.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
The people are what makes the firm what it is; at all levels, from apprentices to partners, everyone is approachable and friendly. I have never felt intimidated asking for help despite how small the issue is and I genuinely enjoy my time in the office.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
I enjoy staying active; I regularly practice kickboxing and have been known to go for the occasional run. Apart from that, I enjoy spending time with my friends going out and experiencing the vibrant city of London.
