I'm a Solicitor in the Wills, Trusts and Estate Disputes team in our London office. My team specialise in private client disputes, including will disputes, claims under the Inheritance Act, and contentious Court of Protection applications.
"I am impressed by Irwin Mitchell's service. From the initial meeting with the family law partner, Claire-Marie Cornford, right through the progress of my case where I was advised by Kate Harris, ably assisted by Katherine Reed, I was well advised throughout. Not only was the service professional, but also sensitive on a personal level, which was particularly important to me given the background circumstances (a bereavement)." - 5* Trustpilot review
What inspired you to get into law?
I always wanted to work closely with people and help them with the challenging aspects of their life, particularly with their family relationships. Working in this department has enabled me to combine my interest in the law with my desire to help individuals protect their best interests in difficult situations.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
It's extremely rewarding to reach a conclusion in someone’s best interest that allows them to move past a stressful time in their life. In what can be a very emotional part of the law, it's always rewarding to reach an outcome that helps someone move forwards in their life.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
The people I work with and the values of the firm. Coming to work in an office where everyone is approachable is something that I really value and appreciate.
What do you do away from the office?
I enjoy travelling and try to make sure that I always have a new exciting destination in the diary. I also love spending time with friends and trying new restaurants and experiences in London.
