Biography
Jonathan is based from our London office and specialises in advising on dispute resolution and avoidance in the construction and engineering sector. This ranges from major infrastructure projects through to residential property disputes.
His role includes advising on all types of formal dispute resolution, in particular:
- Adjudication
An independent third party that considers the claims of both sides before making a decision
- FIDIC DAB
Known by it’s French acronym, this stands for the International Federation of Consulting Engineers and Dispute Adjudication Boards
- Arbitration (international and domestic)
An alternative dispute resolution without having to go to court. An independent person called an arbitrator will consider both claims and decide
- Court, including TCC
Litigation and dispute resolution, particularly in the field of technology and construction.
He also actively encourages Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) by negotiated strategic settlement, mediation, joint expert appointments and early case assessment.
His experience ranges from private client residential disputes through to multi-million pound/USD heavyweight infrastructure disputes. These disputes concern different types of contracts, including: JCT, NEC and FIDIC.
