Biography
I'm an Occupational Therapist who supports people through personal injury claims as a support and rehabilitation coordinator. I help them access the services and advice they need to manage their injuries and their change in circumstances.
I have had a diverse career in a range of rehabilitation, discharge planning, care planning, adaptation provision, and signposting services across the South-West region. This has given me a wealth of knowledge on what support people are entitled to and how to navigate the systems to maximise their potential.
My specialist skills in Palliative Care have prepared me for helping people understand that rehabilitation is always possible, to one degree or another. It has also provided me with the skills to help clients, and those that support them, deal with the challenges after life-changing injuries.
I'm a member of Irwin Mitchell's Parent Carer Forum - a safe online space to connect with fellow parent carers and discuss the issues that matter to you. Join the Parent Carer Forum on Facebook.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I make a real difference to people's lives. I get real pleasure from hearing the calmer tones replace the sense of panic I am usually first met with.
I learn new things every day from each interaction, whether it's finding new solutions to different problems or how each person deals with their particular situation.
No other role would give me the opportunity to work with such a diverse range of clients or the freedom to help them address such an array of issues. It's such a challenging and rewarding role.

I am a keen DIYer and have no fear of giving any alteration to my home a go.
I love spending time in nature or with my family and friends and can enjoy a good box set with the best of them.
