My role is operational management of the Glasgow Motor department dealing with road traffic accident claims. We deal with claims for personal injury and uninsured loss claims including subrogated loss claims for institutional clients.
On a daily level, I make sure that staff are motivated, performing well and achieving targets with the focus on quality and risk and compliance management.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I worked in large insurance companies for 15 years before moving to a law firm. I joined Golds in 2006 as a personal injury claims handler before taking up a manager role.
I became part of Irwin Mitchell in 2007 following the merger with Golds and became an associate in 2010.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
I am extremely passionate about my job and the work I do. I enjoy seeing my team achieve results whilst ensuring they provide a first class professional service to our clients.
It is very fulfilling seeing staff develop their own skills and experience to allow them to achieve their individual goals and objectives. We regularly receive excellent feedback from clients and this makes it all worthwhile.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
The people - whether it’s the people I work with every day or further afield. We really do have great people here and this makes Irwin Mitchell a great place to work.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
I enjoy travelling and seeing new places and meeting new people. I also love spending time with my dog (and husband of course) and catching up with my soaps.
