I am an Associate Solicitor in the Public Law & Human Rights team in Sheffield. I specialise in community care, healthcare, medical treatment, disability discrimination and human rights. I also specialise in Court of Protection/mental capacity cases.
I advise clients of their rights in relation to care packages, medical treatment and healthcare, personal health budgets and other clinical disputes which might raise issues of dignity or the right to life. I also represent children through their parents who act as litigation friends in respect of healthcare or social care entitlement.
I am regularly instructed by the Official Solicitor and Independent Mental Capacity Advocates to act on behalf of vulnerable people who lack mental capacity in relation to health and welfare matters, deprivations of liberty and contact/residence disputes.
In February 2021, I was featured as 'Lawyer in the News' by the Law Gazette after advising charity Birthrights about patient rights during antenatal scans.

"Faith and Hannah in the Public Law department were absolutely excellent, I could not have had a more sensitive, patient and professional legal team on my Client's side. I was Litigation Friend for a gentleman who was aiming to return home from local authority care. Faith and Hannah were able to acknowledge the nuances, appreciate my Client's historicity and uphold his important human rights using the legal framework to meet his needs most creatively. An absolute pleasure working with them." - 5* Trustpilot review
"I have used Irwin Mitchel for my Sec21 A appeals with brilliant outcomes for those that I advocate for. Another success Thank you" - 5* Trustpilot review
