I'm a Solicitor in the Serious Injury Team based in Irwin Mitchell's Leeds office. I qualified as a solicitor in 2016 and I have worked at Irwin Mitchell for just under four years.
I specialise in helping adults and children who have suffered brain or spinal injuries as a result of various accidents, including road traffic accidents and accidents at work.
I work closely with clients, their families, case managers and therapists to help them get access to the highest quality rehabilitation.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
I like that Irwin Mitchell genuinely cares for the clients and the outcome for each and every client. They are experts and specialists in a range of services and I like being able to work as part of a team that is so experienced, but also genuinely care for the clients.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I find it so rewarding to see our clients get access to rehabilitation that helps them to flourish and start to rebuild meaningful lives for themselves after such serious injuries. Seeing that I have helped in that process is such a privilege.
What inspired you to get into law?
I took Law as an A Level in Sixth Form because it was a new option introduced the year I joined. My teacher was fantastic and I loved the subject that much, that I carried on to university to study Law and then I haven't looked back!
What do you do away from the office?
I enjoy playing netball in competitive ladies' leagues several times a week in my spare time. I also enjoy walking with our pet dog and visiting new places with her at weekends.
"My experience with Irwin Mitchell but more particularly David King and Emily Greensmith was very positive and the professional manner in which they totally guided me through a claim for a road traffic accident leads me to recommend them if you unfortunately find yourself in the same circumstances. You can be assured that they will deal with all aspects of the matter immediately and professionally. There is no substitute for excellence." - 5* Trustpilot review
