Biography

When I first made the move to Irwin Mitchell, I worked with the Motor team. After a while, I made the move to Abuse and Medical Negligence team.

The roles have given me great exposure to cases that I have never dealt with before and a great insight to how the firm works.

What Inspired you To Get Into Law?

All my life I have just wanted to help people. People who are at a disadvantage to others. I got into law because, to me, I'm able to help others who've been through difficult times. This is one of the reasons that I encourage others to get involved in some of the great charity work that the company does.

Coming from my background, no one is ever given a chance. With such a great company supporting me, I believe I have to continue to benefit from my role and lead the way for the people who have a similar background to mine.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

This role gives you great insight to how people have been mistreated through no fault of their own. I want to keep moving forward and helping others who've been put through such a terrible upbringing. Getting them the compensation they deserve helps them get back to a position they would've been in but for their misfortune.

What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?

Not only is this firm one of the biggest and best in the country, but it also helps provide so much for charity. The social aspect to the firm is also a great way that the firm gives back to us.

What do you do away from the office?

Anything that involves a ball and I love participating in the gym.

Irwin Mitchell Has A Grand Day At Charity Football Match

“I want to thank No5 Barristers chambers for sponsoring the event, our star players and over a hundred local people who came along. It was amazing to play against England stars like Rachel and having stars such as Melissa at the event is fantastic. Melissa was called up in January and was unlucky not to make the final squad for France. To get on the score sheet and play against professionals was a dream come true but more importantly to raise over £1,000 for Papyrus made it all worthwhile and I’m very proud of how the event has gone.”
