I am a solicitor in the Medical Negligence team in our London office. I qualified in October 2014 and specialised in child brain injury claims for two years as a newly qualified solicitor. During this time, I worked solely for young clients who had been injured as a result of issues surrounding their birth, other surgical procedures and road traffic accidents.
I joined Irwin Mitchell in 2017 and continue to build on my specialist experience of brain injury claims. I also manage my own varied case load covering a full range of medical issues, including psychiatric, amputation, surgical, obstetric, neonatal and orthopaedic cases. I assist other members of the team in particularly complex and high value cases, such as birth injuries and meningitis diagnoses.
I work hard to achieve the best results for my clients, in terms of both compensation and access to early rehabilitation. I understand the importance of really getting to know the individual client so that they feel at ease with the litigation process and we can work together towards their goals, whether it is getting back on their feet again, gaining greater independence or improving the quality of life for them and their family (or all of the above!).
I am also a member of APIL and work closely with the Child Brain Injury Trust.
"I couldn’t be happier with the service I got, in particular from Chloe Morgan. The updates were frequent and concise keeping me on top of every part of my claim. I could not have asked for a better outcome and I am extremely glad I chose Irwin Mitchell to pursue my medical negligence claim." - Client
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
Erin Brokovich. Watching this film as a child, I always admired her passion and determination, combined with a genuine sense of wanting to achieve justice for her clients and their families. These are traits I now try to emulate.
I also find medical negligence law intellectually challenging and fast-paced, whilst also allowing me to help those who need it most.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
I am able to meet and learn about truly inspiring clients and their families and I am privileged to be able to be a part of their journey in getting the compensation they deserve and the support and rehabilitation they need.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
My colleagues at Irwin Mitchell are incredibly dedicated and passionate about helping their clients and the firm as a whole is constantly involved in charitable work across the country. The size of the firm means that our clients have access to a wide range of expertise, however our close-knit teams mean we can provide a bespoke service to individual clients and really get an understanding of what is most important to them.
We also have the benefit of being supported by our Court of Protection, Public Law, Employment and Probate departments, meaning we can offer a full range of services to our clients.
My colleagues are incredibly friendly, approachable and supportive and there are always opportunities to get involved in the numerous initiatives that the firm supports.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
I am Goalkeeper for Tottenham Hotspur Ladies F.C. I am also a part of the Irwin Mitchell Women’s Football Team. I love getting involved in charitable events - in the past year I have run the Royal Parks Half Marathon, organised a Child Brain Injury Trust football tournament and volunteered with Shelter (a charity supporting the homeless).
If I have any spare time left, I can usually be found exploring various parts of London!
