I am based in the Leeds office where I advise on and supervise on motor claims that require a defence in court proceedings.
I have experience of personal injury claims at all values and worked in-house for a major insurer for seven years.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
My career in law evolved from an early role I had in debt recovery and mortgage repossession work. I spent many a day in court, which I really enjoyed.
An opportunity arose with my previous firm to move into personal injury work and I did so without any hesitation.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
My work provides a number of challenges both in the law and the needs of my clients.
This means my work is varied, which I really enjoy as no two days are the same.
My drive is to achieve the best results for my client that I can and also to offer new solutions for them.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
Having worked at Irwin Mitchell for a number of years, I have seen and experienced many changes first hand.
What I like about working here is the teamwork within the firm, the friendliness of all of my colleagues, Irwin Mitchell's vision and focus and the professional approach adopted throughout the firm.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
When I am away from the office, I try to spend as much time as possible with my family.
I have a son and a daughter, both of whom play football for a local junior club and this led to me becoming a coach for my daughter's team.
Any spare time that I have afterwards is spent running and cycling, as every year I challenge myself to take part in a charity event and raise money for local charities.
