Irwin Mitchell Names St Wilfrid's Hospice Charity Of The Year For 2020

St Wilfrid’s Hospice, which provides vital end of life support to people in West Sussex, is set to receive a major fundraising boost after being chosen by staff at the Chichester office of Irwin Mitchell to be its Charity of the Year for 2020.

Every year, the national law firm holds a vote for colleagues based across each of its 14 offices to select a local cause to support through voluntary work and fundraising activities.

The initiative is part of the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation, an independent charity established in 1997 which has since raised more than £2 million for a range of organisations across the UK and abroad.

This year, the Chichester office of Irwin Mitchell voted to give its support to St Wilfrid’s Hospice, which has been providing specialist palliative care in the local community for over 30 years.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice has to raise 86% of its £7.7 million annual costs to provide a range of services to those in the last phase of their lives each and every year.
