Local Lawyers Firm’s Charity Of The Year For 2020 Revealed

One lucky children’s charity in Sheffield is set for a New Year funding boost after being voted Charity of the Year for 2020 by a local law firm.

Staff at the Sheffield office of Irwin Mitchell voted for The Children’s Hospital Charity to be their Charity of the Year for 2020. This will involve colleagues in fundraising and other activities for a charity changing children’s lives every day, through pioneering new treatment and research.

Each year, staff vote for a good cause to support over the next 12 months via voluntary work and fundraising activities. The initiative is part of the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation (IMCF), an independent charity founded in 1997 that has raised more than £2 million for good causes.

Founded in 1876 and one of only four stand-alone Children’s hospitals in the country, Sheffield Children’s Hospital needs no introduction. The charity was established in 1976 to help raise vital funds for the hospital and since then, Children now come from all over the UK and the world to benefit from the hospital’s state of the art equipment and unparalleled level of care.
