Specialist lawyers from national law firm Irwin Mitchell are heading to Oldham in the middle of August to lend their support to a major event promoting healthy living and the range of health services available in the area.

Legal experts from the firm’s Manchester office are set to join a number of health-related organisations and experts at Health-Fest 2017, which is being held from 11am to 3pm on Sunday August 13th in the town’s Alexandra Park.

The aim of the free event is to bring together a wide range of organisations which promote healthy lifestyles, with attendees being offered health-checks and the chance to sample a range of alternative therapies and foods.

Taster sessions for a number of different activities will also take place, while there will also be live music, a surprise celebrity guest and competitions with a host of prizes.

Sharon Williams, an associate solicitor in Irwin Mitchell’s Manchester-based Medical Negligence team, said:

Expert Opinion
“Health-Fest is a fantastic event all about bringing together all of the leading health-related organisations in the Oldham area for a single day of fun and entertainment and we are delighted to lend our support for the second consecutive year.

“We are very proud of our links to Manchester and the north-west area and are committed to getting out and about and doing our bit to meet and engage with the local communities where we are based.

“There are so many great health businesses and bodies working in this region at present and we’re looking forward to joining them and the local community for what should be a fantastic fun-filled day.”
Sharon Williams, Senior Associate Solicitor

Barry Cassidy, organiser of the event and chairman of Oldham Diabetes Voluntary Support Group and Operations Director of Healthier Together C.I.C, said: “It’s really good to welcome Irwin Mitchell back to our event this year and continue to demonstrate their ongoing commitment to promoting health and wellbeing.”
