Awards Showcase First-Rate Work And Dedication
Ciaran Dearden, an Associate in Irwin Mitchell’s Commercial Litigation team, has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.
Ciaran, who works in the firm’s Sheffield office, is in the running to be named as Junior Lawyer of the Year at the Law Society of England and Wales’ 11th Excellence Awards.
The annual awards recognise the commitment, enthusiasm and passion that solicitors dedicate to serving their clients, and, in the process, underpinning England’s world-renowned legal system.
Ciaran has been with Irwin Mitchell since starting his training in 2011 and, during this time, has established himself as a key member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation team, working with clients across the region and nationally as well as providing support to Irwin Mitchell’s Manufacturing Sector initiative and leading on its Futures Network junior business development programme. His nomination is recognition not only of his legal ability but his wider efforts in the community.
Joe Egan, Law Society president, said:
"To be shortlisted for the Excellence Awards is an achievement to be proud of.
"The awards showcase the first-rate work and dedication of the profession to their clients and the wider community, and is one of the most rewarding and memorable days in the legal calendar.
"This eleventh anniversary year of celebrating excellence in the profession is a testament to the hard work of our members, and of their sustained contribution, not only to clients but to society as a whole."
The finalists for the prestigious awards are selected by a panel of experts from within and beyond the profession, and demonstrate the expertise and values shared by solicitors working across England and Wales, from small local practices and in-house teams, to international City firms.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony hosted by BBC Radio 4 Today programme presenter Mishal Husain on 19 October 2017 at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London.
