Irwin Mitchell Lend A Hand To Local Rehabilitation Centre
Specialist serious injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office swapped their pinstripes for paintbrushes last month to support West Heath House, a specialist rehabilitation centre for those with brain injuries.
Six members of staff from the office visited the centre, which is part of the nationwide network of rehabilitation support services provided by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust and Disabilities Trust, on Friday 16th October to help with some decorating at the site.
The task focused on applying emulsion to corridors at the 24-bed service, following the regular wear-and-tear that the walls face during daily use.
Irwin Mitchell has enjoyed a long relationship with the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust, part of The Disabilities Trust, across its offices and was proud to get involved on the day.
Expert Opinion“We have enjoyed great links with the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust and Disabilities Trust for many years. They provide an invaluable service to individuals who require specialist brain injury rehabilitation and many of our clients and families have benefitted from their input and expertise so we were delighted to answer the call when they asked for help with this work.
“As a firm we have always recognised the importance of getting involved in the local communities where we have offices and particularly providing support to important charities working in such areas.” Hilary Wetherell - Partner
Amanda Haynes Service Manager at West Heath House said “We are delighted that Irwin Mitchell Solicitors have been able to assist with the redecorating of the corridors. We really appreciate all of the time we receive from all of our volunteers and it makes so much difference to the people we support”.
