An inquest to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a young baby at a Hereford hospital is scheduled to begin on Wednesday 22nd October at 10am.

Harley Jones died following lack of oxygen, extensive bleeding on the brain and associated complications, shortly after being delivered by emergency caesarean at Hereford County Hospital in March this year.

The hearing at Hereford Coroner’s Court will be attended by Harley’s parents, Hayley Jones and Daniel Keddie from Sutton St Nicholas, who will be represented by specialist medical negligence lawyers from Irwin Mitchell.
Expert Opinion
Harley’s parents have been left completely devastated by the death of their first child and are still struggling coming to terms with it.

“They hope that the inquest will provide some opportunity for them to learn more about the events leading up to Harley’s death in March so they can begin the long process of rebuilding their lives.”
