Inquest To Begin Into Death Of Newborn Baby

Mother Hopes ‘Lessons Have Been Learnt’

An inquest is to be held for a baby who died shortly after being delivered at Leeds General Infirmary.

The four day hearing for Reece Noad-Caine, who was born and died on 20 November 2011, will be held at Wakefield Coroner’s Court starting on 22 July.

Reece’s mother Joanne Noad, from Leeds, instructed medical law experts at Irwin Mitchell to investigate whether more could have been done to prevent his death.
Expert Opinion
Joanne has been left devastated by her loss and hopes the inquest will provide further information about the events in the lead up to Reece’s birth and death.

“She also hopes that where possible lessons have been learnt from any identified shortcomings in the care given to her and Reece.”
