Irwin Mitchell Employees Show Pedal Power For Charity
Lawyers and support staff from law firm Irwin Mitchell will be taking on a fifty mile bike challenge on Sunday 29th September for a charity celebrating its fifty year anniversary.
Four employees from the law firm’s Birmingham office will be cycling from Corks Club Kings Heath for 25 miles into Stratford and back again. The event is to raise money for the Red Boots Charity, which is the leading UK charity working to improve the lives of children and adults with neurological motor disorders.
Red Boots celebrates its 50th year in 2013 which is why the bike challenge is the distance of 50 miles.
The highly motivated Irwin Mitchell team taking on the challenge includes Scott Tolliss, Adam Wright, Ashley Simms, Thomas Riis- Bristow and his partner Kate Roper. They are all cycling on behalf of the Medical Law and Patient’s Rights team in Birmingham office.
Scott Tolliss, legal expert at Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office said: “Cycling 50 miles is going to be quite a task but a challenge we are all up to facing. All the team are well prepared and we have had plenty of support behind us. We are all proud to be taking part in this event as Irwin Mitchell has a long standing relationship with Red Boots.
“The team hopes to raise as much money for Red Boots as possible. The money raised will help go towards helping the lives of children with neurological motor disorders.
“If we just raised as little as £80 that could contribute towards a bursary for a full time placement in a School Group to provide a disabled child with a comprehensive education enabling them to realise their true potential which they may not have thought possible. These guys really are incredible and we are all proud to be a part of this journey.”
If anyone is interesting in lending their support to the Irwin Mitchell team and the other participants, the challenge starts at 8.30am setting off from Corks Club in Kings heath.
