Irwin Mitchell Staff Take Part In Coventry Fun Run
Solicitors and Partners from Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office joined forces with the staff and students of Hereward College to participate in the Coventry Fun Run to raise funds for the Friends of Hereward College charity.
The fun run took place on Sunday 9 June with a 10.30am race start from the Coventry Memorial Park and took the fundraisers on a 3.5 miles course.
Irwin Mitchell runners included Cheryl Palmer-Hughes, Joseph Dawson, Jenifer Downing and Stephen Nye.
Hereward College in Coventry provides both day and residential places and welcomes all students including those with diverse and complex support requirements. In addition to residential students, day disabled and non disabled students also attend the College.
Cheryl Palmer-Hughes, a travel law expert at Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office, said: “The services Hereward College provides to disabled youngsters are invaluable and we were delighted to take part in the fun run to show our support for the work they do.
“Many of our clients suffer learning difficulties and need specialist one-on-one rehabilitation and support after they have been the victim of medical negligence or serious injury and we share a common goal with Hereward to help these people reach their full potential.
“Irwin Mitchell is committed to being a socially responsible organisation and encourages its staff to take part in a variety of projects as part of a comprehensive community programme, that includes raising attainment in schools, supporting vulnerable groups and offering pro bono support to those who need it the most.”
