Irwin Mitchell Sows The Seeds For The Grain Store At King’s Cross

Real Estate Experts Advise Urban Hotels

By Rob Dixon

The real estate team of national law firm, Irwin Mitchell is advising Urban Hotels on the development agreement for construction and lease for the latest Bruno Loubet restaurant, Grain Store at King’s Cross.

Grain Store is located at the heart of the new King’s Cross development, which is being redeveloped by the King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership (KCCLP).  The restaurant is expected to become a leading light in the area’s emerging dining scene.

Urban Hotels is a leading creator of boutique hotels in the UK.  In London it opened The Zetter Hotel in Clerkenwell in 2004 with its famous Bistro Bruno Loubet, and Grain Store is expected to be equally successful.

Based in the same restored Victorian building in King’s Cross which contains Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design and Caravan King’s Cross, head chef Bruno Loubet will focus the Grain Store menu on vegetables, using flavours and techniques from all over the world.  The restaurant will be open to the public in June.

The Irwin Mitchell team was led by relationship partner and head of construction David Parton, assisted by Louise Cartwright on real estate and Vanessa Greaves on construction matters.

David Parton previously advised Urban Hotels on the development of The Zetter Townhouse and Seymour’s Apartments.

He said “This is another exciting project by Urban Hotels and together with Bruno Loubet’s skill and innovation in cooking, we are sure Grain Store will provide London with another gastronomic hotspot.”  Louise Hill of Hogan Lovells advised KCCLP.
