Law Firm Sponsors Vital Business Forum
The Sheffield office of Irwin Mitchell has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting local businesses which trade overseas with news that it is to continue its sponsorship of the South Yorkshire International Trade Forum (SYITF).
Established in 2005, SYITF aims to encourage and promote the benefits of international trade by providing members with advice and guidance on exporting. Members include some of the region’s leading businesses, ranging from small companies through to multinationals organisations.
Led by Chairman William Beckett, Managing Partner at Sheffield-based William Beckett Plastics, SYITF provides and organises a range of networking events for business leaders, whilst also acting as a conduit between other public and private sector organisations which offer international trade services.
As a sponsor, Irwin Mitchell will continue to support SYITF’s initiatives and events, which help members form strategic partnerships with other relevant organisations and provide guidance on relevant law.
Laurence Gavin, a Partner in Irwin Mitchell’s Corporate team in Sheffield, said: “With economic growth continuing to stall, it is vital that organisations develop their businesses not only here in the UK, but also overseas. The SYITF provides a vital role in helping companies do this across the region and we are delighted to confirm our sponsorship for another year.”
In addition to SYITF, Irwin Mitchell is sponsoring the MADE Festival which takes place later this month.
Other SYITF sponsors are Yorkshire Bank, Arkom and Barber Harris & Platt Chartered Accountants.
