First Events To Be Held In March
THE EMPLOYMENT and pensions team at law firm, Irwin Mitchell, has launched its national programme of seminars for 2012 aimed at providing businesses with practical advice on how to deal with the imminent changes to employment law in April.
The first series of seminars take place during March and will examine tribunal reform, the increase in the qualification period for unfair dismissal, retirement age and proposed changes to parental leave and flexible working. There will also be a look at the latest Government reviews, including the consultation on collective redundancies and TUPE.
Tom Flanagan, National Head of Employment at Irwin Mitchell, said: “The Government is in the process of introducing some radical employment law reforms and this April will see the introduction of some of these changes.
“This seminar is suitable for line managers as well as HR professionals and will be designed to help with tips on how to deal with employment law changes, as well as having the valuable opportunity to ask questions and share experiences.”
The seminars will take place across the firm’s offices in Birmingham, Leeds, London, Manchester and Sheffield during March 2012.
