Bristol Client Gets Exclusive VIP Treatment At Bath Rugby Match

Court of Protection client, Amy Steelyard was treated to a rare invitation to meet the Bath Rugby Team players before leading out the teams in front of thousands on live TV. Amy and her family were then given exclusive use of a VIP executive box to watch the game from.

The once in a life time opportunity was set up by Bath Rugby Foundation, an independent charity that does a lot of work around inclusion, education and sport, to bring skills to underprivileged and disabled children in schools across the South West.

Michael Knott, from Irwin Mitchell's Court of Protection team in Bristol, attended a fund raising event at Bath Rugby Club and bought the special match day package on behalf of Irwin Mitchell.

Michael Knott is Amy’s Court appointed deputy. Amy suffered a birth injury and has been awarded money for her care that Michael helps Amy and her family manage. Michael donated the prize to Amy and her family, knowing that they are keen Bath rugby supporters.

Throughout the day, Amy, her mum and carer were treated like a celebrities and got to meet the players in the changing rooms and get up close with two of the players for photos on the rugby field after the match.
