Lost Chord Golf Day Sees Irwin Mitchell Putt Charity First

Sheffield Office Sponsors First Tee And Takes Part In Event

Legal specialists from Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office teed off for the charity Lost Chord by taking part in a special golf tournament to raise funds for the organisation.

The national law firm’s team, led by Partner David Urpeth, were also proud to sponsor the first tee at the event at Rotherham Golf Club on Friday (May 25th) as part of its involvement in the day.

Overall, the tournament raised £2,300 for Lost Chord, which specialises in producing interactive musical sessions designed to stimulate and engage people with dementia through song and dance.

Irwin Mitchell’s involvement in the tournament demonstrates the law firm’s continuing commitment to supporting local charities across its network of offices in the UK. It is also the latest in a string of sporting events that its lawyers have tackled in the name of charity, after involvement in the Sheffield Half-Marathon and the national Jones Lang LaSalle Property Triathlon.

David Urpeth of Irwin Mitchell said: “Our law firm has always prided itself on getting out in the community and demonstrating a huge commitment to the many worthy causes that we regularly work with.

“Lost Chord does an excellent job in engaging people with dementia through music and song and its operation continues to expand as more and more residential homes recognise the huge benefits that such services offer.

“This event was hugely enjoyable and it was our absolute pleasure to sponsor the first tee at the tournament. We hope the money raised will help Lost Chord enjoy the kind of success which sadly eluded our team on the course!”
