Expert Welcomes Inquiry
The investigation into the death of an eight-year-old girl at a holiday park in Flintshire has been welcomed by a top lawyer.
Personal injury expert Keith Barrett of Irwin Mitchell has called for the inquiry into how the youngster drowned in a swimming pool at Talacre Beach Caravan and Leisure Park to be completed as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
The child was taken to hospital in Rhyl after getting into some difficulties in the indoor heated pool, but later died. Police are not treating the circumstances surrounding the death as suspicious.
Discussing the incident, Keith Barrett said: “I am sad to hear of this tragic case in which a young girl lost her life.
“It is vital that authorities do everything in their power to get to the bottom of the incident and ensure that any similar incidences are avoided in the future. My sympathies go out to the young girl’s family.”
