Laura Craig Named Trainee Of The Year
A trainee solicitor at leading law firm Irwin Mitchell has scooped the prestigious title of Trainee of the Year at the Yorkshire Lawyer Awards 2010 for her work helping to get justice for victims of medical errors.
Laura Craig, age 27 from Ecclesall, Sheffield - who joined Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield Medical Law and Patients Rights team in September 2009 - clinched the title at the Yorkshire Lawyer Awards ceremony at the Queens Hotel in Leeds (Wednesday 6 October).
On her award, Laura said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have won. It is a real honour, and something I couldn’t have achieved without the fantastic support and encouragement of my colleagues at Irwin Mitchell, who have helped to make my first year in the industry so enjoyable. ”
David Body, Partner at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield, said Laura is a worthy winner of the title. He said: “Laura is an exceptionally bright, vivacious young lawyer who has the ability to absorb complex legal and medical issues with impressive speed.
“She is a fantastic team player and is superb with our personal injury clients. She undoubtedly has a glowing career ahead of her and is a very deserving winner of this title.”
