Angel Falls Plane Crash
18/09/2009
An inquest will conclude on Wednesday into the tragic death of a six-year-old boy who died in a plane crash on a trip to a beauty spot while on holiday in Venezuela.
Thomas Horne, from Camberley in Surrey, was killed in the accident earlier this year when he and his family were returning from a trip to Angel Falls in stormy conditions.
He suffered head injuries and died in a local medical centre while his parents looked on helplessly shortly after the accident on 17th April 2009.
The family had been staying at a hotel resort on the Venezuelan island of Margarita and booked the excursion to the South American beauty spot through their tour operator, First Choice.
The inquest, before Mr A.M. Bradley, Coroner for North East Hampshire, will be held at Alton Magistrates court and is expected to last for a day.
