Family in Tribute to Police Crash Victim

The family of a man who died after a collision with a police van in Shropshire has paid tribute to him.

Kenneth Thiel-Furber, 26, died at the scene after the collision with the marked West Mercia Police van on the A41 at Whitchurch last week.

Two police officers in the van, which was travelling towards the Tilstock roundabout, were not injured.

Kenneth's mother Susanna Furber said her family's world has "broken down".

She said the death of her second eldest child has left a "massive hole in our lives".

West Mercia Police are holding an internal inquiry into Mr Thiel-Furber's death.

In a statement, mother-of-five Ms Furber, said: "All my children mean the world to me, but our world has now broken down. I can't believe Kenny's gone.

"Our family has always been close. I only had to say what I wanted and Kenny would do it."

Kenneth's brother Darren said: "He was a perfect gentleman.

"A really caring man who enjoyed movies and music, especially heavy rock and Bob Marley."

Police have appealed for any motorists who were passing by at the time of the incident to come forward.
