Sarah Phillips And Helen Clarke Appointed To Prestigious Roles In Shaping Private Client Sector

Two Tax, Trusts and Estates partner at leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell have been appointed to prominent committees in the private client field.

Helen Clarke, a Tax, Trusts and Estates partner in the London office, has joined the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) Private Client (UK) committee.

Helen, an expert in intricate tax and strategic personal estate and tax planning for wealth creators such as private equity investors and serial entrepreneurs and business owner managers, accepted the position this month.

This isn’t the first appointment from Irwin Mitchell’s national Tax, Trusts and Estates team the committee has seen; the CIOT Private Client (UK) committee is led by Tax, Trusts and Estates consultant John Bunker.

Meanwhile Sarah Phillips, Tax, Trusts and Estates partner and managing partner of the firm’s Reading and Newbury offices, was voted in as chair of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) Thames Valley committee.

STEP is the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning. STEP works to improve public understanding of the issues families face in this area and promotes education and high professional standards among its members.

This latest success for the Thames Valley offices comes after Sarah Paton was promoted to senior associate and the arrival of associate Alistair Robertson-Göpffarth in March of this year.
