STEP Awards Irwin Mitchell Private Client Accolade

Leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell’s Private Wealth team has been awarded Private Client Team of the Year at the 2020 STEP Private Client Awards.

Hosted by STEP, the worldwide professional association for those advising families across generations, the awards are highly regarded as a celebration of excellence across the private client world. All entries go through a rigorous, practitioner-led judging process to select the best in the industry.

The Private Client Legal Team of the Year (large firm) category, sponsored by Royal Bank of Canada, had a strong set of finalists, with Irwin Mitchell beating Burges Salmon, Charles Russell Speechlys, Taylor Wessing and Withersworldwide to the prize.

The judges said ‘Irwin Mitchell are working at the top of the game with a great blend of skillsets. Their entry is backed up by excellent client feedback and their response to some of the most serious challenges facing our clients today has been impressive’.

The win is a testament to how Irwin Mitchell’s Private Wealth division, which was first founded in 2016, has become a market leader in the private client sector.

This is the second big win for Irwin Mitchell’s Private Wealth team in as many months. The national Family Law team at Irwin Mitchell winning two awards at the prestigious LexisNexis Family Law Awards in November: national head of Family Law Ros Bever took home Partner of the Year, while associate Scott Halliday was awarded Young Solicitor of the Year.

The Private Wealth teams in the firm’s Leeds and Sheffield offices have also been nominated for the Yorkshire Legal Awards, where they have four nominations.
