The announcement of the Chambers and Partners UK 2020 law firm rankings has seen Irwin Mitchell maintain its place as one of the leading law firms in the country.

The firm has been named as a top tier law firm in 29 separate practice areas, while 137 partners and associates were recognised for their skills and expertise, with 15 named for the first time.

Chambers and Partners has been a source of legal market intelligence in the UK for 30 years, ranking both law firms and their solicitors to provide local knowledge and market insight. Covering 77 specialist areas of law, the guide includes over 5,200 law department or set rankings, offering   reliable and up to date information for those looking for UK legal services.

The Chambers guide charts the progress of firms and their departments over the previous three years and in addition to maintaining its 37 top spots, Irwin Mitchell has also improved its position in several others, while testimonials from clients continued to praise the firm for having “strength in depth” being “one of the market leaders” and offering “a Rolls-Royce service”.

The Chambers and Partners rankings follow the publication of the Legal 500 UK 2020 guide in September, which saw Irwin Mitchell improve its performance across all areas of the business.
