Suzanne Currie Joins Sheffield Estate Planning Team
The Private Wealth division of top law firm Irwin Mitchell has recruited a new solicitor to its home office in Sheffield.
Suzanne Currie joins the leading national team from Sills & Betteridge in Gainsborough, having qualified as a solicitor in 2013. Suzanne is an expert in handling later life issues including wills, powers of attorney matters and administration of estates among others. Suzanne will shortly be a qualified member of STEP (the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners).
Suzanne will form part of the Sheffield office’s estate planning team which is headed by senior associate Emma McCann and which forms part of the Sheffield office’s Tax, Trusts and Estates team, led by partner Gillian Coverley.
The estate planning team focuses on providing individuals with complex advice on a complete range of planning for all stages of life but with a particular specialism in later life issues. The service includes advice on intergenerational estate and tax planning, wills, powers of attorney, care home fee issues and trust advice.
The appointment of Suzanne Currie strengthens the planning capability of Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth in the north. The team forms part of the national Tax, Trusts and Estates team at Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth, with other offices in Leeds, London, Chichester, Newbury and Gatwick.
Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth was formally launched in 2016 and has 17 offices across the UK. In 2018 it was named by eprivateclient as a 2018 top-tier law firm and was the only national outfit to receive a top-level ranking.
Expert Opinion
“We’re delighted to welcome Suzanne to the team. Our estate planning team in Yorkshire now sits at 14 team members which makes us a considerable force in the regional private client market and which has been bolstered with Suzanne’s arrival. I’m excited to see our progress as a team here in Sheffield and nationally.” Emma McCann - Partner
