Adventurer Twins To Give Talk At Winchester Science Centre And Planetarium

Expert serious injury lawyers from Irwin Mitchell’s Southampton office have sponsored an event at Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium where twins, Hugo and Ross Turner, will discuss their recent expeditions and the work of the Southern Spinal Injuries Trust (SSIT).

Hugo recovered from a spinal cord injury he suffered when diving into a swimming pool and since the incident, he and his brother Ross, have dedicated their life to adventuring and furthering medical knowledge, with a special interest in spinal injuries and research.

They have undertaken a number of classic expeditions and provided the opportunity for further research to be done into the impact a spinal injury can have on sufferers thanks to their work with the Department of Twin Research at King’s College London.

Geoff Holt MBE, a patron of SSIT, will host the Irwin Mitchell sponsored event at the Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium on March 24th, where the twins will talk about their exploits, with all proceeds from the event going to the trust.

SSIT provides specialist equipment and support to people affected by spinal cord injuries in the south and south-west of England and depends on charitable donations, grants and fundraising to carry on their work.
