Man Suffers Arm And Leg Injuries In Ordeal
A man was airlifted to hospital after his legs became trapped as he carried out maintenance on a lift at Elizabeth House in Bolton.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called on Monday morning (4 November) regarding the incident, which occurred while the man worked on the top of the lift with his legs dangling over the side.
The lift moved upwards, trapping the engineer’s legs in the process, and firefighters had to move the lift back down in order to release him.
The man suffered arm and leg injuries in the incident and was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
