Investigations Continuing Follow Fatal Road Traffic Collision
A motorcyclist who suffered fatal injuries in a road traffic collision with a car on a road in Angus last week has been named by police.
Roland Bentley, 34, died following the incident on the A933 close to Friockheim on Wednesday afternoon (June 20th), while the driver of the car and the motorcyclist’s pillion passenger were also left injured.
Tayside Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing into the incident and they have called for any witnesses who saw the incident to come forward as quickly as possible.
Elaine Russell, a serious injury specialist and expert in road traffic accidents at Irwin Mitchell’s Glasgow office, said it was vital that plenty of information was gathered into the incident.
She said: “Only a handful of details are so far known about this crash, so it is imperative that authorities work quickly to determine what happened and also how such an incident could be avoided in the future.
“Road safety is a huge issue in Scotland and we act for a huge number of people who have been affected by the devastating consequences of crashes, often helping families to gain answers and justice over such incidents.
“Collisions and accidents are all too common and we hope that, like with other crashes, lessons can be learned from this incident which will go some way to improving safety and preventing further problems in the future.”
