Birmingham Teams Recognised in Chambers Guide
A TEAM of dedicated solicitors are celebrating after coming top in a prestigious legal guide.
The Chambers guide, published today, has ranked the lawyers at Irwin Mitchell number one in the Midlands for medical law and personal injury, and the travel law team has been named amongst the best in the country.
Within the medical law and patients' rights team, partner Lisa Jordan has been described as ‘first rate’, and Luke Daniels, who lives in Selly Oak, was described as a "real star for the future" with an “absolutely superb manner”.
The thrilled 31-year-old said: “This area of the law is complex and interesting and offers direct personal contact with clients and the sense that you are really making a difference.”
Colleague Mandy Luckman, 37, who lives in Sutton Coldfield, was praised for her “attentive, sympathetic and extremely thorough” approach. She is passionate about her work, which helps to lift the financial burden from the shoulders of those who have been left permanently disabled after medical errors.
Sara Burns, who was also named as a key individual in the guide, is "focused and industrious, with a great understanding of clinical negligence" and Victoria Blankstone impresses peers with her work on "interesting, complex and difficult cases."
The 41-year-old from Worcestershire says she enjoys the variety of the work and gets an enormous sense of satisfaction from winning cases for her clients.
The Birmingham arm of Irwin Mitchell also includes a large travel law team, who were recognised on a national level and placed in the top tier of the guide.
Nationally renowned travel law expert Clive Garner was described as "stratospherically amazing", and Phillip Banks, who focuses on injuries abroad, was “charismatic and very talented”.
The family law department, ‘one of the leaders in the Birmingham marketplace’, is described as ‘well trained’ with a ‘meticulous eye for detail’. Nicola Walker receives special recognition.
The Business Legal Services team continue to receive praise with high profile Birmingham-based partners Fergal Dowling, Christopher Piggott and David Egan being singled out for their expertise.
