Girl Attacked By Staffordshire Bull Terrier
The father of a four-year-old Sheffield girl savaged by a Staffordshire bull terrier is reportedly demanding to know if the police intend to take action.
Abbas Jaffar has told the Sheffield Star that his daughter Insiiya now has a four-inch scar and faces plastic surgery when she is older.
The little girl was reportedly attacked by the terrier in a park off Harwood Close, Highfield, while another similar dog "barked and circled".
Mr Jaffar told the paper: "I'm told the first dog has been put down. But I want to know if the second dog is alive, if police are planning to prosecute the owner, and what happened after the first attack."
Insiiya was reportedly saved thanks to the prompt action of Adam Johnson, 29, who kicked the dog in the face, grabbed the girl and ran with her the 150 yards to her Cecil Square house.

Katrina Elsey from law firm Irwin Mitchell said: “This is yet another example of irresponsible dog ownership. Mr Jaffar's daughter suffered serious injuries resulting in scarring which is likely to be permanent.”
If you've been injured after being attacked by a dog, you may be able to make a dog bite claim.
