Biography
Patrick specialises in Insolvency Petitions and applications such as bankruptcy, winding up, s236 applications, preference claims and application for possession. He has knowledge of retention of title issues and is responsible for book debt recoveries which may be contested.
He also takes on high value debt and forensic recovery work generally and acts for IPs, banks and PLC clients, as well as individuals.
Recent highlights:
- Obtaining a Freezing Injunction to prevent the sale of a property until trial of the substantive action.
- Pursuing a Winding Up Petition for a Spanish company where recovery was made in excess of €600k which was calculated by the UK company.
- Dealing with retention of title of books sold by the Administrator of oldco to newco to the value of £3m. A commercial settlement was agreed with the newco after obtaining an injunction to prevent their sale.
- Presenting a winding up petition against a high profile property company which again was contested, but resulted in a settlement in excess of £1m.
